The Peel Sessions is one of the best things that can happen to a band or artist, a distinction not many can claim rights to. John Peel recorded and captured some of the best moments in music, with a keen ear for that which is extraordinary. As they are clearly unlike any other band, then, perhaps it is understandable how the Locust earned the right to take part in such a rare opportunity. With sixteen songs, the whole session clocks in just under 17 minutes, which if you're familiar with The Locust, comes as no surprise. Recorded on August 19, 2001, the band had the chance to record a Peel Session, and thankfully, we all have the chance to listen to it.
